RETURN TO SIMPLICITY: A Nature, Yoga Nidra & Meditation Retreat
Rest deeply. Reconnect with nature. Come home to yourself.
Step away from the noise, demands and constant busyness of everyday life, and immerse yourself in the quiet beauty of the natural world. Nestled beside the flowing Areuse River, surrounded by forests and the dramatic landscapes of the Areuse Gorges, Maison Rousseau offers a special place to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with what truly matters.
This retreat is an invitation to embrace simplicity. To wake up to the sounds of the river, spend time among trees, share nourishing practices and meals, and rediscover the quiet joy of simply being. Through yoga, Yoga Nidra, meditation and time in nature, we create space for the body to soften, the mind to settle and our inner wisdom to emerge.
We find richness in the essentials: the beauty of our surroundings, the warmth of community, nourishing food, meaningful connection and the freedom to rest.
RETREAT HOSTS & MAIN FACILITATORS
Myriam Bartu has been teaching meditative practices since 2016 and specialises in Yoga Nidra, Yoni Shakti nourishing yoga and sound healing. She is passionate about sharing healing, restful and heart-opening practices and building community through retreats that help people reconnect with peace, connection and well-being.
Mandy Tsui is a sound healer, yoga teacher and Yoga Nidra facilitator. She integrates singing bowls, nature connection, Yoga Nidra and meditation into her daily life and shares these practices with others, gently guiding people on their path of self-care and inner exploration.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Restorative practices: A gentle blend of yoga, Qigong, Yoga Nidra, meditation and breathing to support relaxation, balance and nervous system regulation.
Deep rest and inner exploration: Guided Yoga Nidra journeys to release tension, quiet the mind and reconnect with your inner landscape.
Immersion in nature: Wander through the surrounding forests, follow the riverbanks, listen to birdsong and discover the beauty of the Areuse Gorges. Let the natural world become part of your practice.
Mindful walks and forest bathing: Slow down your steps, notice the textures and scents of the forest, feel the earth beneath your feet and experience the simple pleasure of being outdoors.
A ritual of release and renewal: Gather together to reflect, express gratitude and set intentions for the next chapter of your journey, with an outdoor ritual if conditions allow.
Community and connection: Share meals, conversations, reflections and quiet moments with a small community of like-minded people.
Time just for you: Enjoy unstructured time for rest, journalling, reading, gentle exploration or simply sitting beside the river and watching the water flow.
Optional individual sessions: One-to-one sound healing or an Akashic Records reading with Mandy may be available at an additional cost.
All sessions are optional. You are always welcome to listen to your body, take time for yourself or choose rest over participation.
In case of wet weather, outdoor activities will be adapted, with opportunities for deeper Yoga Nidra, sound, creative exploration and sharing circles indoors.
